HTML in category description 1.4.11

I have 1.4.11 and really want to be able to add HTML to my category description - I think it's really crappy to not have the WYSIWYG editor included as a standard feature.

 

I remember being able to do this fairly simply on 1.3 but can't find anything that will work beyond 1.4.7 - has anyone else managed to do this?

These days I'm trying to find the same thing.

I need to insert some links and PDF file into each category description but Prestashop 1.5 doesn't have HTML editor for that.

I found only this topic but I didn't try the offer solution.
