cannot add new languages

Hello 

I struggle with adding new languages.

 

The website says it comes with 5 or 6 languages at the back end but I can only see one.

 

When I go to 

Localization  Translations

I have this

 

Cannot connect to the PrestaShop website to get the language list.

 

When I do the import manualy it does not take the gzip so I unzip the en file or the fr file, it does take it but nothing change.

There is only the english version and nothing below to activate new languages although in my installer I selected all the languages available.

 

I reinstalled Prestashop selecting French, but same only the french language and I can't add any other languages.

 

My host is compilaus.com with PHP 5.3
