JohnHalflord
Hi, i'm trying to upgrade an prestashop from version 1.2.4 to 1.5.4 The shop on the old version works problemless, than i upload the new files and acces upgrade.php I get a xml error: <action result="fail" error="28"/> You can access it on http://hoheka.eu/mayo/install/upgrade/upgrade.php I have read on internet, that this error appears if the shop is allready on the new version. Maybe someone before me tryed to update this shop, but the shop is still on the old version. How do i bypass the error, i need to update the shop? NemoPS
As that version is really old, I would first try and upgrade manually to, say, 1.3, then 1.4, and then try the auto upgrade to 1.5.6.
JohnHalflord
so i tried this, first 1.3, then 1.4.7, all works fine, when i upload 1.5.6.1 files and run the upgrade.php i still get the error. what about, if i run the sql command? do i have to do somthing elso or is this the upgrade? NemoPS
From 1.4, download the autoupgrade module, and try with that
tuk66
I would suggest to do a fresh 1.5 installation. Even if files and database tables will be all right after upgrade the old data can be quite differently transformed compared to new orders (and other data). Transformed data is not 100% right. Probably cannot it be. My experience.
