We suggest a simple interface, appearing as a carrier that can be selected: eg TNT Express - Add to existing order. That carrier would appear only if there is a prior order. The module will need to check to make sure the order status isnt "prepared for shipping" or similar. The module will need to calculate the difference owing, charge that and then merge the products into the original order. It will need to include a private message with the order to state what was added, how much and when, and update the order modification date. The design of this module is not fixed, we are happy to take advise on different implementations than we imagine. The function must be the same. The customer cannot edit their existing order, simply add to existing order the contents of the shopping cart. Please reply with a quote on cost, timeframe.
