pqpqpq
Hi,I built a shop on a temporary web address so that my client could keep her site up on her previous hosting. Now that it is ready to be up, I was wondering how I should go about for the change. I gave it a try and simply pointed the domain to the site I built but it looked 'themeless'. I attached an image of what it looked like.I know I have to change the name servers o that the domain points to the hosting account. But concerning the prestashop files. What files do I need to alter?
first1
well, you need to create a database on the new host and import the contents from a backup of your prestashop.the you can simply copy the whole folder over, or make a new install and copy the theme and the setting files + images ...etc

Katmatcreations
normally what i do is build everything i need to in development, then do a clean install of presta on the webserver and just move over and config the things i need to (modules, mails, theme etc)once you deploy however keep in mind relative paths may change for images if you used actual paths (and not relative ones built into presta)also check the config/settings.inc.php file for relative pathways (__PS_BASE_URI__)
