digitad
Hello I wonder if Prestashop is collecting info about installations since every day my test website is visited by same IPs to get logo.jpg. I'm not completely against this behaviour as long as my test website does not became public for Google searches. Can anybody explain? best regards 91.240.109.115 - - [13/Nov/2013:02:23:34 -0500] "GET /shop/img/logo.jpg HTTP/1.1" 200 5779 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:16.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/16.0"91.240.109.68 - - [13/Nov/2013:02:23:36 -0500] "GET /shop/img/logo.jpg HTTP/1.1" 200 5779 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:16.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/16.0"91.240.109.79 - - [13/Nov/2013:02:23:39 -0500] "GET /shop/ HTTP/1.1" 301 - "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:16.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/16.0"91.240.109.79 - - [13/Nov/2013:02:23:44 -0500] "GET /shop/ro/ HTTP/1.1" 200 61769 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:16.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/16.0"91.240.109.116 - - [13/Nov/2013:02:23:50 -0500] "GET /shop/ HTTP/1.1" 301 - "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:16.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/16.0"91.240.109.116 - - [13/Nov/2013:02:23:50 -0500] "GET /shop/ro/ HTTP/1.1" 200 61769 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:16.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/16.0"
Xavier du Tertre
Hello Collecting info, no. We couldn't possibly do that and we don't want to. But we do have a bot crawling the web and counting active PrestaShop stores. It's 100% harmless Have a good one!
Xavier du Tertre
By the way the bot's name is Sandrine. Be nice to her.
digitad
Hello and thank you for your prompt reply. It takes me few more days to find the truth which is somewhere in between. If Sandrine was only a bot crawling the web, how did it know when I renamed the installation folder of Prestahop to visit it next day? The fact is that Prestashop indeed track the installation folder and pass it to Sandrine to check it daily :-) thank you!
magix01
Perhaps you have a 3rd party module wich pings owners server on load?
ibndawood
I think all modules listed in addons store does not have any tracking code installed as that is against their policy.

Yes, but tracking is done by loading addons.prestashop.com when accessing BO.

The fact is that Prestashop indeed track the installation folder and pass it to Sandrine to check it daily :-) That is not correct. It's just an iframe in the back-office. We take a look at what domain names access this iframe (to measure how many PrestaShop online stores there are).
