running prestashop on localhost

I have tried to copy an existing install of prestashop to my local server and run it on the IP 192.168.1.101 (IP of my in house Ubuntu server) so that I can upgrade it safely before moving it over the top of the live site.

 

For some reason I am unable to get it to run in a sub directory such as 192.168.1.101/prestashop/ for example - prestashop wants to default back to 192.168.1.101 and refuses to let me run it from anywhere else. I have tried changing the "shop domain name" but this makes no difference.

 

Can some tell me what I need to change so that I can get this to run locally - running
PrestaShop™ 1.4.5.1 .

can you show settings of your "preferences > seo & urls" tab (related to domain settings)

the problem is probably with "base_uri" field
