streetwear
Hello, I was wondering if anyone can give me a list of pages not to include in my sitemap when generating or are you best including all of them? Thanks streetwear
vekia
hello how you want to genereate sitemap? if with default module in my opinion you don't have to remove urls from this list. you don't have to worry that this list has got unsafe websites etc.
streetwear
Vekia, It's good to hear from you again, yes it's the default sitemap generator I am using, I was unclear as to what to do with it but I know now thankyou! Is it going to be an issue that it creates 2 files? Thanks Streetwear
vekia
no, it's totally normal, in your case sitemap generated 2 files because you've got two languages /en/ /gb/ if i were you, i will disable one of them (en is almost the same as gb) (en-US/en-GB)
streetwear
Vekia, Which is the best way to remove one or the other, it seems that en is the most dominant throughout the sitemap? El Patron
if you have changed your translations (product/category) to UK English, then you may very well want to consider keeping it for seo purposes. This is especially true if you are using a uk ccTLD. the only issue is that 1.5.6 will can not detect and set visitor language properly when two en-xx...it will only match on the first it finds. streetwear
Hello, I did a basic install, using english as the default language to install, nothing else has been touched but i noticed in the localization > localization > advance. There is language locale (en) and country locale (gb). so El Patron, can i just confirm, i should leave everything as is ? Thanks streetwear

Thanks streetwear here is some good info to start with on multilingual sites, yes that includes different variants of English. I don't have enough information to guide you it really depends on how your url's are set up... https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/182192?hl=en
