renanmota
Hello, I have a serious problem in my store. Performance is ok until a product is added to cart when logged. The problem does not happen If you add a product to cart and you are not logged in. Or there's no product in the cart when logged. The strange thing is that every shop is very slow. El Patron
there is some issue with the exchange of ssl keys and/or server keep-alive issue. but certainly there is an issue with your shop running in https. I would contact my hosting provider and ssl certificate issuer.
renanmota
thanks for the quick response. But disabling ssl in prestashop should not have a good performance?
El Patron
thanks for the quick response. But disabling ssl in prestashop should not have a good performance? performance, if associated to ssl, which it appears to be, can be tested by turning off ssl in back office...back office--preferences-->general disable ssl and see if the speed for logged and non-logged is the same... renanmota
I tested the logged performance is much worse than not logged. But the strange thing is that it only gets bad when I'm logged and any product in cart.If you were logged without product in cart - ok.If you have product in the cart without being logged - okIf you are logged in and with product in cart - bad
El Patron
it starts getting 'real' slow after add to cart as it takes you to check out...which enters https what is your payment method? do they require ssl to enter their payment gateway? El Patron
you shop is very slow for me even without ssl, I am in the midwest US. and now when I test...it is much 'faster' than when you had ssl...so I don't agree with your previous statement that it is the same. El Patron
here is a good article on how you can improve ssl performance..if you need help I would contact the hosting company http://maanasroyy.wordpress.com/2012/05/05/apache-performance-tuning-keepalive-to-remove-latency/
renanmota
I can see more difference when I add product to cart. If I'm logged takes more than 20 secondsIf I'm not logged takes 2 seconds Listing abandoned carts on backoffice is very slow too, even cleaning ps_carts, ps_discounts and ps_products. Listing orders on backoffice is much faster.
El Patron
took the same amount of time for either when I tested with ssl off.. sorry I can not help more than that... other than because you use a ccTLD, you can host shop anywhere as there is no seo penalty for having a non-Brazilian IP address
