Prestashop says I dont have Permissions when Modifying a Theme Module

Recommended Posts

Hello there,

I am trying to add and edit modules on my themes layout using prestashop, the modules show up in a little window and I can click these to add them to my page and also to modify them.

Problem:

Selected Modules dont even appear on the pages, this means sliders, banners, etc etc.

Modules will not allow me to even edit their settings as "I don't have permission".

Has anyone encountered this before? What can I do, this was only meant to be a 5 minute install and it has taken me well over my project timescale.

I cannot make a screenshot at present but it displays in a red band with an X in a circle at the right hand side.

I installed the latest version from the site and updated it too, I used the official package but I installed it through the one click update module.

Sadly I am waiting for someone to provide me with new details for the store to login to it so I cant take a screenshot just yet.

When I click to modify the theme, a window appears with the themes possible banner modules, some slected, some greyed out, and it gives the option to modify these seperately. When I click modify it says I dont have permission.

And even if the modules have been selected and seem to be active, they do not appear on the frontend.

You probably aren't logged in as superadmin, and apparently your "login profile" doesn't allow to view/edit modules.

Ask the superadmin of your shop to edit the permissions of your profile (.e. employee group) (or add a new profile for especially you, if others' in this group shouldn't be allowed to do this as well) and select the right permissions.

(This all is done in back office->Admintration menu:

Employees are coupled to a 'profile', and the settings of the profiles are set in Administration->Permissions)

If you can get into Administration->Permissions, you will probably see that your profile cannot view/edit modules

Hope this helps,

pascal

Jonty: Unsolicited suggestion:

I see that your footer is a little messed up:

Maybe try this:

http://www.kuriouskulture.com/themes/alysum_2.0/css/global.css (line 625):    (back up first, just in case)
#block_various_links_footer, #social_block, #block_contact_infos{

  float: left;

  width: 190px;   <- change to 190px

}

#footer li {

  padding: 10px 0;       <- change to 10px

}

http://www.kuriouskulture.com/themes/alysum_2.0/css/alysum.css (line 795):   (backup first, just in case)

#footer .block {

   width: 190px;          <- change to 190px

   float: left;

   padding: 0px;

   margin-right: 70px;    <- take out this line

}

http://www.kuriouskulture.com/themes/alysum_2.0/css/alysum.css (line 810):

#footer .block h4 {

  font: normal 12px Georgia;     <- take out this line

  line-height: 18px;             <- take out this line

  padding: 0px 0px 10px 10px;    <- change from 30px to 10px

  text-transform: uppercase;

  color: #888;                   <- take out this line

  background: none;

}

#footer .block .block_content ul li {

  padding: 7px 0px 7px 10px;

  border-top: 1px solid #1c1c1c;  <- take out this line

  border-bottom: 1px solid #000;  <- take out this line

}

#footer .block .block_content ul li, #footer .block .block_content ul li a {

  color: #505050;              <- take out this line

  font: normal 12px Georgia;

  line-height: 18px;           <- take out this line

}

Result will be something like:
