blockreinsurance woops!

Recommended Posts

I have been having trouble with the Customer Reassurance module in 1.5.4 so I upgraded to 1.5.6.1. Since then I was getting the reassurance block being mixed into the main footer block and not above it like it is supposed to be.

I messed around with it for quite awhile and I finally deleted the module. Now I am trying to get it back.

I copied the old blockreinsurance module directory back to the site from a backup of 1.5.4. This does not work. I get a permissions error and a module can't load error...

Can someone help me get the module back and working please?

chmod

In Unix-like operating systemschmod is the name of a Unix shell command and a system call, which both change the access permissions to file system objects (including files and directories), as well as specifying special flags.[1] The name is an abbreviation of change mode.

this is command to change permissions to the files.

i asked about change module permissions (chmod) to 777 because of this:

OK, now I am really showing my inexperience with Unix... I only know how to change permissions via my hosts GUI in their tool.

Should I change everything in the mod directory to 777? Or do you want to school me on the Unix shell? :)

Which tool would you recommend?:

Users typically interact with a modern Unix shell using a terminal emulator. Common terminals include xterm and GNOME Terminal...

I thought that I remember a name change of some sort in this module with the upgrade to 1.5.6.1 and since I copied a 1.5.4 mod into my 1.5.6.1 install, this might be something to look at but it's kind of beyond me.

Thanks again for hanging in with a newbie! lol

Happy Thanksgiving by the way!
