warehouse inventory not showing up in multistore

I created my store and everything was working fine until I decided to swith to multi store.  The primary store is retail.  The second store is wholesale. Exact same products, descriptions, etc. Just different pricing.

 

Since we use the same inventory for both wholesale and retail I set the default store group to share qty.  By doing so Prestashop zeroed my  entire inventory, and enabled stock management, and advanced stock management.  I created a warehouse, and then moved all products to that warehouse ("main").  I've updated 5 items that had 8 combos in each to have the correct qty.  But when I go to the store it shows the product as out of stock.

 

What am I doing wrong?

I figured it out.  You have to assign the products to a warehouse before adding qty.
