puffdade
I been up and running a good few months now things have been going well nice steady increase in orders, good number of new customers daily and a high percentage of my existing customers returning all in all I was very happy until today. I got a call from a customer she couldn't log in password reset wouldn't work she was stuck, not a problem I can reset her password ( I had to do this before for another customer) only this time it didn't work she still couldn't log in to her account. so I tried I also failed ( Im using IE on windose 8) I tried on the Ipad and managed to log in no problems now that's a bit odd, so back to my windose 8 machine deleted browsing history and cookies and logged in as my customer no problem at all. My customer is using Linux Unbuntree she has ordered plenty of times in the past on the same setup. What causes this problem and is there a fix, I cant keep asking my customers to delete their cookies and history. I'am using presta version 1.5.4.1 edit: Just checked and I have quite a few uncompleted shopping carts some with names some without my sales for the last 7 days are down a bit as well. puffdade
this part is rather concerning Visitors are down today by around 400 I can live with that as that could be any number of reasons but 10 full carts no purchases doesn't stack up, the customers cant log in fully to pay. ibndawood
Hi Paul, I think I may have something for you. I tried logging into your website. Placed order. Logged back after 20 mins (to check the cookie). Removed the cookies and tried again. It all worked. But something didn't work which is reset password. I tried "Forgot Password" and I did not receive that email. I placed an order and I did not receive any email. I think this could be the reason your customers are down ? You might want to check your email configuration. Regarding cookie, I don't really think that is a problem. But I cannot confirm.

ibndawood
I suspect this could be one of the reason why people are not able to reset their passwords because they are not receive their emails. Right now this is the only reason I can find out. Please fix your email and see if there is any improvement in your customers.
