I extracted it to the modules folder and checked the permissions as well. Still I don't see the 2CO module to install/configure in the backend. Any suggestions? If your on 1.4.x, please checkout the 1.4.x branch before uploading. git checkout 1.4.x The master branch should be used if your on 1.5.x.
