How to put photo on background

Hi im using 1.5.5.0.

I want to put a picture on the background of the site. so it appears on the far left and far right.

The picture should stay in same position but the centre where main page of site is can scroll up and down.

you can use css styles for body element

you can use there background: url('URL TO WEBSITE'); background-position:fixed; css styles

I am having trouble getting the picture to centre and stay there, so when i scroll background doesnt move

so just simply remove the  background-position:fixed;
