Madden
Hello everyone, I have to create a webshop for a friend of mine and after hours of researching an appropriate software I've finally decided that Prestashop is probably the way to go. However, before I start working on setting the shop up I'd like to know if it's possible to create a product preview based on different attributes. My example is rather simple, but I didn't find out if it's possible with Prestashop. My friend want's to sell printed textiles. If you surf the shop you see different designs. If you've chosen one design you get to the details page and see that design printed on a t-shirt. "T-shirt", however, is just an attribute. You can change it to "sweatshirt" and then immediately see the design printed on a sweatshirt. Is that possible with Prestashop? Thank you in advance Madden

stottycabanas
Hi Madden, Yes it can be done, but it may depend a bit on your expectations. It would be easy to set each design up as a separate product and then assign product attributes of T-shirt, sweatshirt, etc. You would, however, need to provide separate images for each combination thus created. The combination that includes T-shirt would be set to the default for each design. Prestashop can display the image you associated with the relevant combination when you click on the various clothing types in the dropdown on the product page for the chosen design. I'm not sure if you're expecting Prestashop to use one set of images for the designs, another for the clothing type and then automatically overlay the design image on top of the clothing type image - it won't do that. Cheers, Dave
