Drop down menu and color picker

Hi,

My question is related to items available in various colours

In Prestashop 1.4, on the product page, were both displayed :
- a dropdown box
- and a color picker

Unfortunately in Prestahsop 1.5, one can display only one of those two elements.

That's really a pity for at least two reasons :
- color picker is necessary as attractive for clients
    - when they click on a colour, they can see the related product image (providing that the assignation has been made in the back office between combination and image)
- drop down box is also necessary, because this system is really more intuitive when the client decides to select the color he wants to order.

So, what could be the way to keep, in Prestashop 1.5, the two benefits :
- display both dropdown box and color picker
- link (as in Prestashop 1.4) the selection in color picker to the selection in drop down menu and to the display of the related image

Hi there, I'm not quite sure what you mean?

I think, in prestashop color can only be displayed in small boxes and I, on my webshop, want to choose my color from drop down list. Is that what you're trying to do?

And if it is, have you succeeded? As I can see it I would need to change the .js file for color changing, and also product.tpl?

Sorry for the delay in replying.

 

What I meant was the following :

 

In Prestashop 1.4, for product available in several colours, on the product page, were simultaneously both displayed :

- a dropdown list

- and a color picker (small boxes, as you said)

 

 

But, unfortunately in Prestahsop 1.5, one can display only either a dropdown list or small coloured boxes.

 

So, I am still looking for a way to keep the double display.

 

Would you have any idea how to do it ?

Hi.

Im running the 1.5 and displays

The problem I got is on the template on the style sheets of the page that only allows drop menu to show , no colour pick or radio box.

Im in touch with the company I brought the theme from to try to fix this problem.

Is missing some code.

Have you figured this out? I need to have both options as well because color picker doesn't show color names unless the mouse is rolled over. Not good for mobile users because it's difficult to see the difference between black and dark brown if your screen is not very bright.

how do i activate the small box i seem to have disabled it., can anyone help
