marblemsn
Hello, I was using Prestashop 1.3 some time ago, with a load of photos that varied in size. However, Prestashop resized the photos where there was a white box on the left and right of the image. It was coloured black so that it made it look better. I am now using Prestashop 1.4. I had the same images transfered over. I have imported more images. I have uploaded an image, and there is no black block to the left or right as can be seen in the other categories of products. I have created a TEST range of products. when you click on this link - www.rajastones.co.uk/product.php?id_product=225 , the black rectangles are gone. However when you click on the turquiose 'View' box, the image is stretched. What is going on here? I am fearful of regenerating thumbnails etc - as I am not a programmer. Any help would be appreciated - thanks
vekia
hello your images have got this border because your image size for big pictures is 600px 600px and you uploaded thin picture - It is thin, with huge height and small width. You must upload image which is proportional to sizes you've got defined in back office preferences > images

vekia
it's a bit old topic (for prestashop 1.3.x and 1.4) you can try to implement it to your 1.5 engine
