Vee Dub Gifts
Is there a way to stop ean numbers getting added to the seo friendly urls?I'm getting some product urls without ean numbers and some with. I'm also getting some products displayed on the homepage without ean numbers but when viewed via a category their urls have the ean number attached! Vee Dub Gifts
I'm still no further to finding a solution to this, which is a pain as its causing duplicate urls for products, example:On my homepage my first featured product has a url like:http://www.veedubgifts.co.uk/homeware/67-camper-van-door-stop.htmlBut if you visit that url from the category page you get a url like:http://www.veedubgifts.co.uk/homeware/67-camper-van-door-stop-5023313979585.html (Which includes the EAN number)Anyone know a way of avoiding this duplication? rocky
It is the getProductLink function in classes/Link.php that appears to create these friendly URLs. You could try modifying this function and removing all the ean13 references in the contents of the function.
AlmeraGTI
I have not seen much on this subject, but this is happening to me also, while I am trying to comply with google shopping where the EAN is required I don´t particularly want the EAN number on the end of my URL "looks Ugly". Does anyone have a solution or a suggestion please??? I am using prestashop 1.3.4 Kind Regards
