Gift vouchers ?

Christmas is coming (WISHES!)

question:

Is there a free basic module which gives the opportunity to the customer to buy a discount voucher to send as a gift ?

Or should we create a voucher as a  "physical" product and manage everything manually?

We have the version 1.4.7 of PS
