matthewriot
So this is about the 30th time I've installed prestashpo using GODaddy - for myself as well as helping friends that I've referred. This is one of the situations where I've referred someone and now I look like a clown because it's caught not working and I can't figure out the solution or what makes this time different than any other time. our installation address is: http://firestax.co.uk/shop/ now, when it asks for the database address, i simply go to mysql on godaddy, get the details and voila - firestaxshop.db.12100899.hostedresource.com easy enough, i paste this where it says localhost - brainless, right? then it asks for the database name - which with godaddy actually also is the same as the database login - this covers the next two steps firestaxshop and then it asks for the password, which is a password I am very familiar with. I enter that... and blammo, here's a screenshot of what happens every frickin time: can someone PLEASE help me?! It's like pulling teeth this round! Blanquiavolo
Hello matthewriot. Have you tried with a different browser? I've seen this ans switching to another browser solved the issue. Hope this helps!
matthewriot
yeah switched between google chrome and firefox - recommend any other browsers that might fix this? thanks for checkin this out and offering advice my friend!
matthewriot
So the only way I got it to work was by removing the new version of prestashop and using an older version - I must say I'm DISGUSTED with prestashop's customer service and their lack of support for the new inferior software. If you run into this problem just use the version right before this garbage =D
benjamin utterback
Strange, usually localhost works as the database server address? What happened when you tried that?
