where to change default theme background?

i want to put an image for the theme background, but i dont know where... i suppose that is on global.css but cant find the code line for this purpose

 

pd: some post says that i have to modify body {} from global.css, but the problem its on global.css body has color:#222222 (a type of black color), and the default color is white.... i also changed #222222 to red, but nothing changed either

to change background color you have to add/modify background param, for example

background:red;

color:#222222; is a font color
