pp.hornsby
Is there a simple way to transfer my products and images from a prestashop on one site to another new prestashop site. As I am moving to a new Web address.
Bill Dalton
You need to download a copy of the website and you need to copy your MySql database. Just export to an .sql file. When you have your new location ready, just do the opposite. Upload the web site, import the .sql. This is assuming you plan to keep the same domain name. If you make any changes to the domain name or database name you will need to make some addition edits. Please post if you need help with that. rhinocad
Hi, I would like to copy product, categories and images to a site on a new domain. I see from your reply I will need to know a bit more. Thanks Bill
selectshop.at
Images are not saved in database. For to copy producst and categories, you can copy from one database to another via phpMyAdmin export/import. For to transfer images you copy the folter /img of your FTP to the new project. rhinocad
Hi, I tried exactly that and found that when i tried to use the 'new' site, the entire appearance had changed to the format of the source, Links mapped to the source site and when i tried to log in to the back office, I could not. There seems to be more to it than just copying files across. However I do hope whatever I am missing is very small and easy to remedy.
