Problem with search

Hello,

I have problem with my prestashop ver.1.3.1.1, i dont know what happen:/

In my shop I sell K&N filters, but when i type in search box (front office) word K&N that Searching not showing results, i think this is problem with "&" sympol in second place in word, because when i type word "Ka&N" ("a" is random letter) serching works properly. Can you help me with this?

What happens is that the & gets filtered out when indexing the site. So it will store and index KN (2 characters).

 

Most probably you have specified that it should index words with a minimum length of 3 characters (3 is the default value...), so KN is not found.

 

Go to Preferences -> Search and change the minimum word length (in characters): to 2

Then reindex the full sire (Same screen, first block with header "Indexation", click on bold displayed line:

-> Re-build the entire index.

Hi Pascal,

 

Thank you for this tip, but unfortunately it does not work, I changed minimum word length to 2, and 1 length and after this i re-build index, but nothing happen, that is, search works ok, when i type only KN, then ajax filtering slides out and i see KN product, but when i type K&N the searching not showing any results. I think is some bug with "&" symbol, but i dont know where:/
