bedazzledlights
I'm getting ready to switch to a new prestashop theme. I want to make sure before I begin this task, that I back up everthing from my current site. Just in case I can't get the new theme to work, I don't want to be suck with my website down. I would like to be able to go back to my current site as it is now if the new theme doesn't work properly. Also, based on advice from this thread I plan on backing up my DB and files from my server prior to switching to the new theme. Has anyone done this successfully? Do you have any additional advice or tips to make this go smoothly? Thanks in advance for all your help!
vekia
test it locally! believe me this is the best way to making changes like this one. Your store will stay untouched while you will be working on localhost. when everything will works well - then just upload changes to remote, and that's all
bedazzledlights
I remember testing a website locally once a long long time ago, but I don't remember even how to do it now. But that is a great idea! Thanks vekia!
