galaxyre
Having a heck of a time installing Prestashop. I meet all the minimum requirements for the isntallation, and have a dedicated service (linux). I receive the following error... AN ERROR OCCURED DURING INSTALLATION I've tried a few different things that I've come across in the forums but nothing seems to work. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. benjamin utterback
Hello, an error at the populate database page probably means that you are having a permissions problem. Try and change the permissions to 755 for directories and 644 for files. If it still does not work then you should contact your hosting provider to investigate the permissions with your database. galaxyre
Permissions are all correct. I have a dedicated server, and my hosting provider stated that the issue appears to lie with the template. galaxyre
I was able to instal V.1.4.11 with no issues. Front & Back End work fine. I will now attempt to upgrade to 1.5 to see if that works.
galaxyre
The upgrade did not work from 1.4.11, however, I manage to install v 1.5.5 with no issues. Will attempt upgrade from that version.
galaxyre
So the 1-click upgrade worked from V1.5.5 to V1.5.6. Not sure why the clean instal of 1.5.6 didn't work, but whatever. All is good now.
