Dolke
Strangely but this issue happen only on some of the product and others not. On those affected by this issue, whenever I add price or modify product name and click save button I will get thiese errors related to some language files. Here is the screenshot: http://www.screencast.com/t/qksTVn4piOt2 My website is using only one language and that is Serbian and no other languages are active for both FO and BO.When I exported 2 products, one having this issue and other one which is not affected and compared their fields everything was the same except one field: redirect_type Product that had no issue had value 404 in that field and other one didn't. Any suggestions? ThanksDean
El Patron
I have one suggestion... do you have accents in friendly url enabled? http://screencast.com/t/aG4xUXxNZ

Dolke
I will let my colleague test that. Thanks El Patron. Is this option has to do with using Serbian language specific characters like: Š,Đ,Ć,Č,Ž in meta fields?
El Patron
I will let my colleague test that. Thanks El Patron. Is this option has to do with using Serbian language specific characters like: Š,Đ,Ć,Č,Ž in meta fields? I think this only affects the 'friendly url', i.e. the product name generated or entered manually. I do not know about the meta fields, I would not think meta would be affected by accents, does it disallow accents in your meta fields.?
Dolke
I tested by enabling this option and it doesn't work. I still have the same issue. Also if it is affecting only friendly URL, we use only Latin characters in our friendly URLs
El Patron
can you check the product that does not work, it's mysql db record, what is in this field? Is this an upgraded shop? yourprefix_product `redirect_type`
Dolke
Its not upgraded shop.I'm using 1.5.4.1 from the beginning. Its ENUM attribute and beside it value is 404 for that product.
El Patron
sorry, my help isn't much good..this stuff is hard. ... but you said " redirect_type Product that had no issue had value 404 in that field and other one didn't." this is why I asked about the db filed....now I am probably just confused... Dolke
I said that didn't I...When I export both (product with issue and the one without) I get that one that doesn't seem to have this issue have value "404" in that field but viewing from phpMySQL I see value 404 on both...Let me do some screenshots.
Dolke
Here are the screenshots:Product with no issue > http://www.screencast.com/t/TathkRWSyRiProduct with issue > http://www.screencast.com/t/BcDKAbHOIt seems that they both have the same values of that field. I found something else, something that I already asked the community but never solved it... I noticed that when returning search results when searching SKU of the products which don't have issue I only get one result - that product what is OK, but when I search SKU of the product that is affected by the issue I get that product and one other totally unrelated product. Check this printscreen > http://www.screencast.com/t/ZwYDH1RUHCkdCan this be the reason and why I'm getting such strange behavior?
El Patron
very odd I keep coming back (via search) to the enable accents in friendly url, the search screen above shows accents in the product name...though I don't know what's in the rewritten-url... http://forge.prestashop.com/browse/PSCFV-9513 freaking weird
Dolke
Well as I said, we don't use accents in the rewritten URL, I'm 100% sure as I'm checking my exported product list and that particular field. We do have (sometimes) accents in other meta fields like meta description and Yes, we do use accents in our products names. I think both of these problems are weird, the one with the language error and those search results.
El Patron
lets try this (make work) add product name and generate friendly url for each of those languages that it finds invalid... maybe it is that simple...
El Patron
actually just do one and see if that language is no longer reported in the original error message
Dolke
I don't use more then one language. Actually I only use Serbian
El Patron
yes, but my guess is you have the other languages 'installed' but disabled. so you should be able to select another language 'French' for the product...then fill in the product title and friendly url...then try saving... Does 'French' disappear from the list of languages in the error message from http://www.screencas.../t/qksTVn4piOt2 ??
Dolke
El Patron, sorry for delay. I tried your suggestion but error remained even for a language that I enabled.
El Patron
dang...what a mess...I scanned your release for that error message and could not even find it... I hope me 'trying' to help kept others from actually helping. not really sure how to proceed.
Dolke
Thank you anyway El Patron. I know issue is not of "easy nature".I hope somebody else might have some new suggestions...
