Got New Order Notification Email But Not With New Customer Registration

Hi,

 

I have a problem with not getting any notification email of a new registration. However, my new order notification email works just fine.

 

I've done this points below to ensure thing to work correctly:

 

1. In BO, on tab Administratrion > Preferences > Show Notifications for New Customers = CHECKED

 

2. in BO, on tab Advanced Parameters > E-mail > Send test email = I got this email

 

 

Is there any other setting of email field that I should fill?

Hi jijaybajay, i think you need to edit the mail notification module to accomplish your task. You need to register the actionCustomerAccountAdd hook, in the module, and inside that method write the code to send the email. Obviously you have to create the necessary template file.

Hello, I have the same problem but it come out lately. Before everything was fine. I get e-mail notification from all clients ( new and old ). Now I have not receive any e-mails. I've try everything ,I think, including uninstall e-mail notification module and installing new one. 

 

Is it possible that any e-mail notification module like mailjet for ex. change something ?

hello,

what mail method you use ? simple mail() function? or maybe smtp? have you tried to switch this option (for test purposes?)

Do you have the "Member Alert" module installed?

 

My understanding is that "1. In BO, on tab Administratrion > Preferences > Show Notifications for New Customers = CHECKED" is to give notification in the admin panel not to send an email.

I have the same problem, this started with the latest upgrade to Prestahop. Can someone help to fix this. It seems like every time I upgrade prestashop to solve an issue I get a new one in return.

Ok i made a test on both. Nothing changed. As a client i receive e-mail from paypal, but i noticed that the status of the order doesn't change automatically on payment accepted. I can see the message form paypal - payment accepted, but that's is all. 

 

Does it's possible that this is the fault of paypal? I use module Paypal - 3.6.1 and methode Paypal Integral Evolution with payment on my web site - I use 

 

Is it possible that i don't receive e-mail alerts because Presta doesn't see that the order was finish ?

I don't believe its a problem with Paypal (at least not alone) as we no longer are notified of orders from other payment methods either. All was working before our upgrade to 1.5.6.0 I would try 1.5.6.1 but I am afraid to introduce even more issues.

[email protected]  - When I read your message I made a test. I turn on the Pay by Cheque option and even that the order don't have any status - i receive the e-mail with notification that new order was placed. 

 

Any ideas why it doesn't work with paypal? 

I don't receive the message when an order is placed by check either. All other messages seem to functions with the exception of new order notifications. I am frustrated.

Hi Wroyes, i'm not sure if i've understood your problem. Do you need to send an e-mail to customer for confirm payment accepted or for your personal use?

Does anyone have a solution for my problem? I would like to receive an email when a customer places an order. This module no longer functions since our upgrade. It doesn't matter what the payment method is, we don't receive this order notice.

hi beeman, have you installed the mail notify module? The link attached to this discussion is for notification of new customer registration, not for other type of notification.

Patrick, yes I have and it has functioned flawlessly for the last few years, only since our recent upgrade has it failed. I will look for help elsewhere. Thanks
