THEDert
Is there anyway to upgrade to the new version without hurting my current custom theme?

ejectcore
I should be able to help you PM FTP details & will have a look into the changes you have made & let you know what it is going to take to upgrade to V1, also if you let me know a list of the modification you have currently done so I can see how these adapt with V1. Pursuant
Not to take 'business' away from amwdesign, but... it shouldn't be anything major. Just download to your computer the current copy of the /prestashop/themes/yourthemename/ directory. Upgrade, then re-upload it... go to the Back Office -> Preferences -> Appearance -> Themes and choose your theme. If you just edited the 'prestashop' theme, just download the current copy off of your site, then re upload it after the upgrade. It should work wonderfully. Most of the changes to v1 will be to the source code, not the presentation layer.
ejectcore
Well I have to say after working over 3 hours on this.this is not as simple as just copying over the theme directory, all the modules have in-fact been edited.even the product pages have been changed so this is in fact quite a long process.Plus the fact version 1 styles are different to 0.9.7 :shut: & like you said a lot of source has been changed so I have had to go through each module 1 by 1 to merge over to v1almost there just got to deal with the product pages ;-) But i can understand where you are coming from it would of been easier if no modifications had been made.At the end of the day I am just trign to help people out, if the process is quick usually I can provide a free service however some jobs as you know take a lot longer so there has to be small charge otherwise we all will been known as a charity :gulp:
Pursuant
Oh, sorry. I did not know it was a v.0.9.7 -> v1.0.0.3 switch. Good job! For future reference, /prestashopDir/themes/themeName/[moduleName]/[file].tpl should be edited instead of /prestashopDir/modules/[moduleName]/[file].tpl. It makes future conversions alot easier! Bruno Leveque
Hi guys,Upgrading from 0.9.7 to 1.0 RC3 could be quite long if you have many modifications on your installation. However, upgrading from 1.X to 1.X should be easier Best regards
ejectcore
I agree with that one.Lets just hope the styles & coding structure doesn't changed dramatically as this shopping cart progresses
weaselbringer
it was sort of briefly referenced here, but all my product pages ceased to work after upgrading to 1.1 from 1.0 - Why are they not showing up? What do I have to do to make my product pages appear again? The links and images are all there (from the home page) but every product page pulls up a 404... any ideas?
