chiggs
Hi I am having trouble understanding how to install prestashop and get it working. I followed the guide (tried to) on the main website and got as far as the FTP client. I downloaded coreftp and when it asked for the server/site details it just kept saying 'failed to connect'. So I gave up on this and logged in to the server via RDC. But all I get when I log in is another computer basically and absolutely nothing that looks like it could resemble a website or help me build a website! I have my hosting and I have my domain. I just have absolutely no idea what to do to get prestashop and link it to them and then finally get it on the internet. I have emailed my host who simply responded 'your package didn't include a web panel' which wasn't very helpful. I emailed back but usually takes 24-48 hours and I want to get started tonight! So to summarise I have a domain I have a host and virtual private server I have login details I have no idea how to get prestashop working :'( Thanks in advance to all, this is going to be a huge learning curve!
