HELP - Use product images as attribute

What I need to do is when you click on an image in the gallery to select a product combination.

I know I can link a product combination to a image. What I need is to do the exact oposite, link an image to a product combination.

So, when you click on an image a product combination is selected.

 

Here is a link to a site, when you click on a image in the gallery to product variant is selected in color attribute for example:

Also, as backup solution, how can I show the image that I link to a product combination within that combination?
