Paypal Europe not showing in Checkout

Hi All

 

I am new on this forum and in using Prestashop. I set up Prestashop 1.5.6 with Paypal Europe 3.6.1 and experience the same problem that I saw reported elsewhere for the US and Canada Module.

 

I found that there are two issues: The only currency that I can enable on Paypal is US$. If I select any other currency it reports "Transaction refused because of an invalid argument" Long message "currency is not supported".

 

If I enable US$ in the Paypal module it allows the transaction to go through to the last page but doesn't show the Paypal option. I must add that the Paypal logo appears after the second screen and works from there, but of course that is confusing and simpy not right.

 

My shop's default currency is ZAR (South African Rand) as I initially want to restrict sales to South Africa.

 

If I change the currency on the page and then do the transaction, it goes through and allows payment. This must certainly be a bug and hopefully somebody has found a cure?
