nbonolis
My PS is 1.5.6 hosted on A2hosting where the provider first installed it; I downloaded localization pack for Italy and set it as default country with related tax rules set and all works properly until I use an Italian address to checkout. Being in EU I should apply my TVA rate to sales done to all 28 european countries, as correctly set in tax rules set by the localization pack, but as I use an addrress outside Italy simple no one tax is applied and in the cart appears the basic price tax excluded. I ckecked all rules dozen of times and everything is ok, I also deleted some rules and taxes and manually added them again but nothing changes, simply PS is unable to apply tax rules aoutside Italy (even on front end pages prices changes if I use a foreign address being tax not applied) and this is an hard problem because I am going to start an activity aimed especially for european market. Any idea about this problem?

nbonolis
I am absolutely sure I set all in the proper way because I tested all possible solutions checking each one, It seems to be a software problem and reading this forum I figured out that is a problem affecting many users in similar ways. The only solution till now should be to manually set a price TVA included for each single country in the product's price page but of course it is hard if you have many products. I posted the same question on another thread here where I saw in august a Prestashop manager was answering hoping to get an official answer. bydus
I've imported my tax rule along with products but for strange the tax rule is fixed and it says Alavara. I can't figure out what is that. Will some one help regarding that ? i've fixed my problem by manually changing the name of the country for each customer, sure it took a day but it works. What I think the problem was in my case that I had Polska as a country and in new version after updating translations etc it was Poland. Changing the country name by itself didn't help and was causing a number of cart/ tax/ price issues. So after changing all customers address country from Poland to Polska it works fine. Hope that helps for you.
