Cart sharing with multi-stores on different domains

Hi everybody,

 

Sharing the cart between different shops is possible when your shops are on sub-domains but what I need is to share the cart between shops that have different domains. It is possible?

 

I understood that the cart is shared with cookies. Can I make them multi-stores?

you can pass sessions and cookies between two separated domains, unfortunately.

There are some workarounds but in this case it will be necessary to modify core

So if I understand well, a simple override on the classe Cookie.php will be enough?

it will not be as simple as it seems

you will need to somehow pass cart items to second page and based on override - add them automatically to cart.

I forgot the negation in my sentence :  A simple override on the classe Cookie.php will *NOT* be enough? 

Indeed, it seems really complicated. 

 

I don't think I can do this on my own and I don't want to pay for it, so I keep looking...
