RosesCCRS
I have added several languages: Localization LanguagesWhat is happening is, when we click on any of the languages, it wipes off my WizNav Modules Header titles. They disappear totally. With an invisible header, the customer cannot go anywhere. Also any content entered on CMS pages or product descriptions is not translated, it remains in English. Any helpful tips on this? Thanks a million!
Mukesh Ravi
I think there will be no data for that languages. Can you share url?

vekia
you probably need to define translations for your menu, i think that your menu items aren't translated to other languages
Mukesh Ravi
Module is not disappearing. there is no data for other languages. So please add data for other languages as well. RosesCCRS
Thank you Mukesh and Vekia. Mukesh, do I just add that code as per your attachment for the header? Also, how can I get the content of CMS and product descriptions translated, or is it not possible?
vekia
1) you need to configure this menu in back office. 2) to edit cms translations, open preferences > CMS tab and edit each of the CMS pages. you will be able to define translations for languages there 3) the same for product descriptions, open catalog > Products and edit products, you will be able to define translations there
Mukesh Ravi
Since data is coming from WizNav module. So If your module has multi language fields then you can add data for all languages otherwise you can translate as vekia suggested. And for CMS pages and Products we have a flag next to text/textarea fields. we can change language by selecting flag from here. So here we can add data for different languages while creating/editing product/cmspage Thanks
RosesCCRS
Thank you Vekia, When you say "define translations", I went to Preferences > CMS > Opened a page, I see the little flag icon on the side and it drops down all of the other flags, what do I do then? RosesCCRS
Thank you Mukesh, I will add the highlighted code you suggested. With regard to the CMS/Products, am I understanding correctly that I click a flag and save, then go in again for the next language, click a flag and save until all have been "defined"? vekia
click on selected flag you want to translate, then you will be able to define translation example: save until all have been "defined"? you don't have to click save all the time, just define all translations and then - hit save
RosesCCRS
Ok, when I do that, everything goes blank. It does not translate it for me, I assume I have to put in the translated language? RosesCCRS
Thanks Nemo. I will do that. But the big question is, when it is working properly will the text in the product descriptions, CMS pages be automatically translated to the language chosen? NemoPS
Yes, provided that you added the proper content!
RosesCCRS
Proper content meaning I will have the English information (text) and it will translate it into Russian, etc?
NemoPS
No, you must fill in the content area for every language to have it displayed (as vekia suggested above, clicking the language flag)
RosesCCRS
So I will have to get someone to translate the content from English to Russian and then add that translated text there.
NemoPS
Yes, or if you trust it, use google translate!
RosesCCRS
Well, I went to Localization > Translations > Modify Translations > Installed Module Translations, click on ANY flag, and I get this Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 35409575 bytes) in /home/content/45/10283745/html/tools/minify_html/minify_html.class.php on line
NemoPS
It means your server has not enough memory to complete the script's execution. Have someone increase the limit in your php.ini
RosesCCRS
We did and we kept getting error messages. We turned off the "ALWAYS TURN ERRORS ON! config/defines.inc.php set PS_MODE_DEV to true! " that we converted and then it worked.... . Could that cause that to happen? NemoPS
Really weird, that is only supposed to show errors which are already there, but invisible!
