cantcloseaccount Posted October 28, 2013 Share Posted October 28, 2013 (edited) Hi All, I am looking at rolling out a site globally and am looking at the best way forward within the prestashop framework, probably in multistore. The Company has 3 offices, USA UK and AUS. Currently we have an installation of Prestashop running in Australia and restricted to Australia only by IP. We have different pricing structures in all three offices, based on a legacy of adjusting to suit the local markets, and these three offices support the regional area's around them, (AUS services Asia/Pacific region, USA services the Americas, UK Services Europe). What I would Like to do, is to enable multistore with 3 different stores, AU, UK, USA to allow for pricing variations, each in a relevant subdirectory, and then keep customers (or at least encourage them) to their local store based on IP location. Is multistore the best way forward? is there anyone using a similar system? can orders for individual stores be set to be viewed by certain employees (ie. can I set it up for the employees to manage only orders within their region?) Is it possible to redirect people by IP location to their local store? I've seen on the apple site they have this set up where /au/ /us/ give you different pricing on their products. I know I can hide pricing from out of range ip addresses, but can I redirect out of range ip addresses to the relevant store? Many thanks for any input and the great work on Prestashop.
