[SOLVED] Removing categories from footer in Prestashop 1.5.6

Hi,

 

this might be asked before, but I couldnt find the answer , I only found the answer for former versions of Prestashop . How do I remove the categories from the footer only? I have many categories and they being displayed in the footer make the store look akward .

I do not use ps 1.5.6 but in 1.5.5 and other versions you can just "Unhook" the categories module from the footer and this will solve the problem

You have to just remove module hook from footer.

login as admin -> Modules -> Positions

now find and remove categories block from footer.

In modules in categories block (which I assume it's what you are talking about) I only have these options (Im translating from spanish to english so something like this )

 

Max level

Dynamic mode activated (radiobuttons )

Order (by position by name)

Number of columns in footer

 

So either Im in the wrong place or the options arent the same than in 1.5.5?
