Version 1.2.4

I have used Prestashop previously for a client's website and used version 1.1.0.5, which works nicely. I have another site to design using Prestashop and see now that the latest version is 1.2.4. However, it says that there are numerous problems with different versions of PHP and MYSQL. These problems were not listed when I downloaded v. 1.1.0.5, so it seems silly for me to download the latest version as it would cause problems (I have PHP 5.2.9 and being able to upload images is pretty essential).

I don't quite understand why you would release a version that doesn't run perfectly on all versions of PHP. Despite the new features of 1.2.4, I shall probably just use the older version I had downloaded previously.
