cpowell89
Hi there I'm having quite a big problem with the Paypal module installed in Prestashop. I explain it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=X2mT9o34ns4 If you'd care to watch the video it explains that when using the "Pro Hosted" version of the Paypal module I manage to pay for a product, but upon being redirected back the shop I get dumped on the homepage, no order confirmation, no emails sent to the customer or the client. However Paypal does take payment for the order, and records it. It's clearly just not being transmitted back to the shop correctly. I'm using version 3.6.1 of the module and also 1.5.6 of Prestashop, so everything is up to date. I've checked the errors logs on the servers and everything seems fine, as well as the write permissions to the module folder, those are also correct. I've also turned on debug mode for the shop, no errors of any significance seem to appear. Is there just a major flaw in the Pro hosted aspect of the Paypal module? Because at the moment I'm trying to take my client through becoming PCI compliant, which was our only alternative, and it's proving to be quite a struggle. If anyone has any suggestions I'd really appreciate it. Also if anyone is actually using the "Pro Hosted" aspect of the module successfully please let me know! Thanks in advance. cpowell89
Here's another thing I noticed you may have picked it up from the video. When going through the Pro Hosted route if you click the Pay with paypal button seen here: You get taken to this page: Now the main thing I notice here is that the price is there, however there is no product information of any sort. Which says to me that the information isn't being correctly passed to Paypal by the module. I also tried using the "Pay with my debit or credit card" option. I got a transaction confirmation from Paypal but no order was created. However if I use the Payments Standard solution it works fine as can be seen here: Leading me back to the conclusion that there is something quite wrong with the "Pro Hosted" aspect of the Paypal Europe module. El Patron
Hi, the basic (free) paypal modules do not support PayPal Pro accounts. You would need to upgrade from addon's or 3rd party developer to paypal module that supports paypal pro account. That is my understanding of the situation. edited: my understanding is wrong one can select hosted pro plan. cpowell89
Right, I saw your answer to this on another post. It DOES support Pro Hosted, it's got an option to select Pro hosted accounts. There just seems to be something critically wrong with this part of the module? I've attached a screenshot to hopefully clear up the confusion... El Patron
wow...I'm getting dated, I stand corrected. I had not realized they now included the pro hosted plan. I have seen instances with paypal where 'some' problems were resolved by forcing smaty recompile. This on shops where they have 'never' recompile. Maybe it is picking up an old .tpl file Can you set to force compile and see if the issue is the same?
cpowell89
Yep all of those settings are off. Compilation is forced and the cache is clear.
