get an error when saving or making new products

I get this error " An error occurred while updating an object. product () "

 

when I try and edit a existing product

 

or

 

if I try and make a new product I get this error " An error occurred while creating an object. product " 

 

anyone have an idea how to solve this...

okay, so please turn on error reporting

 

prestashop above v1.5.3

open: config/defines.inc.php

 

find this line: define('_PS_MODE_DEV_', false);

change to look like this: define('_PS_MODE_DEV_', true);

then try to save new product.
do you see some errors then ?

i have done that .

and yes i can see many errors. :S but i don't know what they mean. However at the moment i removed the database from the server and i'm reinstalling the database again. However when i'm umporting the dump sql file to php my admin, i get the message time out. and the whole database is not imported.

i turned on error reporting. i can't add to the cart, sign in, create accounts.. basically i can't do anything... but the connection to the database is correct, if not we could't see the products right?

please, help me. :/
