[SOLVED] Cart rules - limit voucher to a single customer.

Cart rules/ new/conditions

 

There is an option here to limit the voucher to a single customer. If the box is left empty, the voucher is not limited. That's fine, but what do I put in the box if I want to limit it to a single customer? The customers name? email addess? customer number etc? It's a bit of a mystery that one!

Hi, I am also quite curious about this field.  I tried to enter 1 in the field "limit the voucher to a single customer", then click save.  But when I click the cart rule again,  the field again goes blank and nothing there. The "1" I entered before totally disappeared. I don't understand why. 

 

So I wonder, how to limit the voucher to a single customer?

Put the email address of the customer in the box, and it will come up with a drop down list, so you can select then customer you want it to go to.

Thanks. But I want to set up a cart rule for a new customer who has not registered yet.

 

Vekia said above that there are two ways of doing this: either by entering customer's email address or name, or just simply define "quantity" field as 1.  I suppose the 2nd method should be the right way to define a cart rule for new customers.

 

But the thing is, after I entered "1", the system wont' save.

 

So what to enter in this field for a new customer?
