blaqiron
The script looks beautiful but requiring the cpanel logon in information and cpanel password is cray. I should be able to use the created content that I madeup for instead of giving me informtation that shouldn't be sharriedAny replies
TropischBruin
Which info does PS ask?For as far I know it needs certain info to connect to your database to upload the install.sql and to keep a connection between PS and the MySQL running, otherwise the shop would not work. Diemux
It only asks for login details of your database. This is very common and is asked by all scripts who need a connection with a database. You will need to create a MySQL database in Cpanel with a MySQL owner etc.
blaqiron
I created the database name and password that I wanted to use when I clicked the button that says verify it said it would not connect, no matter how many times I typed in the database name and user name I created in MySQL. As soon as I typed in my Cpanel login name and password which is what it was asking for the database was created successful. I am an experienced script installer, this script should not require that type of information to be installed. Perhaps requiring that is great for people who do not know what they are doing, hopefully with the next relase you will provide manual install isntructions.I changed my cpanel password and if the script stops working because of that I think people on other message boards have a right to know.I think it's great that your offering this script for free but I am sure it's just a matter of time when you will start charging for it because of the features you put in it.I was just voicing my concernsThank you for listening although my question is still unanswered

Diemux
I have to agree, you do not know what you are talking about...Then installer only asks for MySQL connection details (db_name, db_username, password and a host). And ofcourse, you should not use the same password for CPanel en your MySL database...

spott
When You made databases at cPanel, then you have chosen some wrong settings (You don't have second user for this database etc) or You placed wrong host at installer. Usually cPanel user is also MySQL server user with permissions to make new databases so script makes this database, when You give cPanle username and password- this can be the first explanation. Second and what I think was happening - You made new database at cPanel, but you don't have new database user with separated password, who has rights for your new made database. So it mean, that cPanel user is master user also of this new database and only one, who has rights to connect to this database. Then and is only way to connect with database, when You giving your cPanel username and password. So - learn better cPanel. There are tons of tutorials about cPanel. Even flash tutorials, with explanations, how to make new databases and users at cPanel. The script looks beautiful but requiring the cpanel logon in information and cpanel password is cray. I should be able to use the created content that I madeup for instead of giving me informtation that shouldn't be sharriedAny replies
