PS 1.5.5 with paypal 3.6.1 not working via 1-step

When we do a guest checkout via Paypal account, after we click on Confirm we are redirected back to the Homepage of our website. We can still see the 1 product in the cart but when we click on the cart we are again redirected to our homepage. There doesn't seem to be any way to confirm our order.

 

We can also see the order in the back-office so it seems ready for confirmation.

 

In the attached screenshot you can see it tries to find: http://www.thingseyelove.com/en/module/paypal/confirm?get_confirmation=1 but I think this doesn't exists and so gets redirected to the home page and then we are stuck there ad perpetuam. Only clearing the cache will get rid of this problem.

 

 

This can be reproduced by following the order process and, unless you actually get to the confirm page and Click the confirm button, you won't be charged.

 

Do we need to change anything in the Paypal module code to make this work for the 1 step guest checkout? 

 

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Just an update for those who find this.

 

This has never been solved and there has been no help/suggestions for this problem. For PS 1.5.5 and Paypal module it seems to not be too stable, it will work for some and not for others.

 

We now have to do Paypal via a work-around by using a payment provider who also handles Paypal (for an extra fee ofcourse).
