Checkout sometimes requires customer to enter a voucher?

I get about 2 customers a week that have issues with my site,  My site is pretty much a stock skin with a ton of css changes. 

 

I have had some customers swear up and down they didn't  tab into that filed.  or click into it.  But when they hit enter  they get the message that they failed to enter a coupon and there is no way for them to get past the nag screen.   

 

Anyone else every have customers call in about this issue?   Anyone got a fix for it?

In my experience it has just been customers too eager to click on the first submit button they see, which happens to be the voucher submit button.

 

So far always solved by telling them they need to scroll down to continue with their order.

(Currently using 1 page checkout)
