Shipping s screwey

I just noticed a strange error, when I add a bunch of products in my cart, the shipping cost (in the left bar) is 0 and it says "Free Shipping" on the checkout page.

but if I remove the heaviest product, the shipping is at both places

Why is this because we never offer free shipping

You probably have a cart that goes over the defined range values in your carrier weight range/price range.

 

You can solve this by defining a wider range, or tell PS that for all values OUTSIDE the defined ranges, the price for the highest should be used:

So either define your last step as:

 

XXX(end value of previous step) - 1000000    $$$

 

so that you can go up to 100000 KG (or $ if you use  price range).

 

Or you can turn on:

 

In Carrier->Edit (Step 2  in PS 1.5.5)

P.S. Make sure the BEGIN value of your steps are the same as the END values of the previous steps, otherwise you create small gaps in your ranges.

 

1: 0-2 $$$

2: 2-5 $$$

3:5-10 $$$

etc

P.S. It showed Free shipping, as it 'translates' 0$ as free shipping. As the weight/price probably fell outside any range, it was undefined, and therefore set to 0$...
