[SOLVED] Add to cart doesn't work

Hello,

 

i'm testing some things for a new site but I found the following error:

When I click on a category there will be a list of products. Every product has two buttons 'add to cart' and 'view product'.

 

now it appears the 'add to cart' button doesn't work, but the strange thing is  'view product' button does work.

 

When I click on the product there is another button with 'add to cart' this one also works.

it's because you haven't got picture in the same div as add to cart button. you have to move it there (script looking for image, but there is no image so error appears in console and broke whole script)

The theme is simply badly developed, and as such, the jquery cart has not been modified to look for the image with this

 

$(callerElement).parent().parent().find('a.product_image img,a.product_img_link img');

 

THerefore, you can whether alter the tpl structure or modify ajax-cart.tpl to accomodate for the different template, like

 

 

$(callerElement).parent().parent().parent().parent().find('a.product_image img,a.product_img_link img');

 

Or a better solution using closest(), perhaps

yea that's correct and it's a part of .js file located in blockcart module (if i remember well it's a ajax-cart.js file)

I changed 

$(callerElement).parent().parent().find('a.product_image img,a.product_img_link img');

 

to:

$(callerElement).parent().parent().parent().parent().find('a.product_image img,a.product_img_link img');

 

But nothing happened. Or maybe I didn't understand what you ment.

refresh your website with hard refresh ctrl+f5 or clear browser cache. you will see that script works now
