Manual update now deprecated....Forever?

Hi

I´m going to upgrade from 1.4.7 to 1.5.6 soon and i´ve seen in the manual that you recommend auto upgrade and the manual upgrade is deprecated.

But I can´t use the 1-click module because my hosting provider doesn´t allow turning off safe mode.

 

And there is also a warning for Php time limit.

 

 

Won´t there be any manual upgrade instructions in the future? 

 

I did upgrade manually though on a subdomain and it worked fine so I guess I´ll upgrade my shop that way anyway

I still do manual upgrades at times, it's not recommended to the novice user, but you can still do it if you feel like
