Thumbnail generation for cover ?

Hello

 

I am modifying an existing app for prestashop, that imports products into presta. It works , but yesterdayI observed that thumbnails  were not being shown in the shop and in the admin for some images. 

Strangely though they appear in the Images list ( clicking on product in admin > clicking on images )

 

This is how the images appear in the shop: 

 

As you can see it shows the thumbnail for one image and not the other.

This one doesn't appear: http://localhost/presta/prestashop/img/p/8/9/89-thickbox_default.jpg

 

in the folders the missing image obviously does not exist. 

Can anyone make a 'guess' whats happening here please ??

what browser you use?

does the same problem appear also in other browsers?

Yes , problem persists in multiple browsers , plus I checked if the file exists in the location its refrencing to: prestashop/img/p/8/9/89-thickbox_default.jpg

I should add; the tables look like this:

 

ps_image

108 42 1 1 -> image exists and is shown
109 42 1 1 => ghost image.
