Looking to fix cache bug - RAM overuse. PS 1.3

I just got notified by my host that PS is maxxing out RAM on the server. I have been getting errors in the past month, such as [an error occurred while processing this directive]. I'm using very little disk space; there are about 200 products, and 2400 customers. Caching is currently disabled and compile is enabled. I tried enabling caching and disabling compile but it caused a mess on my webslte (images were not aligned anymore and when you add a product to the cart, it wouldn't show on the top right corner).

I need to enable page and database caching to reduce memory usage but so that everything else works and looks like before. Please PM me for more info and with your quote if you can do this for me. Thanks!
