jorgebiblio
Hello In a new site under development, I plan to keep only one language but more in the future. If I only use one, the language prefix (/es/ /en/...) disappear. Is there any way to keep it in 1.5.6? And related... If I add new languages, Google won't find many old contents. I've found this module but it does not work in 1.5 http://www.prestatoolbox.com/seo/137-url-rewriting-.HTML Do you know any good modules to build really seo friendy URLs. Thank you. P.S. I've read a lot of posts where they explain how to modify some core files but for older versions of Prestashop.
Bill Dalton
Preferences > SEO & URLs Scroll down to, Schema of URLs Add to the front of each en/ For exsample, Route to products {category:/}{id}-{rewrite}{-:ean13}.html You should change that to en/{category:/}{id}-{rewrite}{-:ean13}.html Don't forget to save when finished. jorgebiblio
Thank you for you answer, Bill. I tried what you kindly describe at the very beginning as my first option (sorry, I did not mention it before) and products, categories and so on work fine but when I click on some other links (sitemap, manufacturers, etc.) they appear without the prefix. I even thought of combining with a htaccess file but there are so many links. Best regards.
Bill Dalton
For SEO your most important pages would be covered. I'm sure someone will post with a htaccess solution. Worst case, create a directory called "en" and install your PS in that.
jorgebiblio
Thanks, Bill, you are totally right. I even thought about installing in /en but I'm afraid I have problems with the installation when "downgrading" to / Thank you sincerely for your answers and support. I posted another question and has no comments, so should I suppose in that case it has no solution?
